CARE GUIDE BY MATERIAL

A well-cared-for leather shoe grows more beautiful with time. A few simple steps are all it takes to preserve your Cosmoparis season after season.

COMMON STEPS FOR ALL LEATHERS

  • Let your shoes rest for 24 hours between wears to allow the leather and lining to dry.

  • Use shoe trees, preferably made of wood, to maintain their shape and absorb moisture.

  • Store them in their dust bag, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

  • After rain, let them dry at room temperature, never on a radiator.

  • Take heels and soles to a cobbler at the first signs of wear.

CARE FOR SMOOTH LEATHER

CAREFUL FOR PATENT LEATHER

CARE FOR NUBUCK

Dust with a soft brush or soft cloth. Nourish regularly with a cream suited to the shade, leave to penetrate, then buff. A waterproofing treatment applied before the first wear protects against stains.

Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry. A special patent leather cleaner restores the shine. Prevent two patent leather shoes from touching, as the finish can transfer its color. Store them separately.

Apply a waterproofing treatment specially designed for suede and nubuck before wearing for the first time, then regularly. Brush dry with a crepe brush to lift the nap. A special eraser will reduce marks. Do not use cream or wax.

CARE FOR THE LEATHER LINING

The leather lining breathes and dries naturally. Avoid wearing your shoes with wet feet and always let them air out after use.
