For smooth leather, waterproof and repeat the process regularly to prevent stains and protect the leather. Clean and condition the leather with a leather cleaner, then apply a shoe polish in the color of the model or a colorless one. Buff with a soft cloth or chamois. Remove stains with a suede eraser or a mild suede and nubuck shampoo.
